What Has Happened to Our Children?
We believe our children’s bodies are overwhelmed by a combination of heavy metals and toxins, viruses, nutritional sensitivities and deficiencies, and bacteria. These exposures serve to slow or shut down normal biochemical pathways in the body and lead to the physical and mental manifestations. Identifying these exposures and creating pathways for overcoming these manifestations is work that needs to be done as early as possible for the most beneficial results. The time to act is now!
A Comprehensive Approach
Growing numbers of children are being diagnosed with behavioral and neurological disorders. It’s normal for children to occasionally forget their homework, daydream during class, or get fidgety at the dinner table. But inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity can be signs of a more complicated issue. Families faced with navigating the complicated world of ADD/ADHD and Autism often become overwhelmed with conflicting messages about treatment.
At The Center for Optimal Health, Dr. Christine Blakeney guides children and families through the diagnostic and treatment options. After a comprehensive evaluation, Dr. Blakeney will make recommendations specific to your child’s needs. You will understand which testing options would be most revealing and which treatment options should be initiated for the best results.
The definition of a neurological or behavioral disorder can be as simple as cellular miscommunication. Properly functioning cells communicate to tell the body how to perform all basic functions. Dysfunction occurs when there is a breakdown in this system of communication. Typical physical manifestations of children with this dysfunction may include:
- Food allergies
- General gastrointestinal distress
- Yeast overgrowth
- Immune system deregulation
- Sleep disturbances
Our integrative approach employs a customized combination of interventions to address these symptoms and improve cellular communication.
